Game Mechanics & Rules

Players post Ante and Blind bets of equal size, plus an optional Trips side bet. After receiving two hole cards, players may raise 4x Ante pre-flop (and forfeit further raise opportunities), or check. After the three-card flop, players who checked pre-flop may raise 2x Ante or check again. After the turn and river, players who have not yet raised must raise 1x Ante or fold. The Blind bet pays a progressive on Straights and better only when the player beats the dealer.

1. Post equal Ante and Blind bets. Optionally post a Trips side bet (pays regardless of whether the player beats the dealer).
2. Two hole cards are dealt to you and two to the dealer (face-down). Decide: raise 4x the Ante now (placing 4x Ante as the Play bet) and lock your raise, or check.
3. The three-card flop is dealt face-up and shared. If you did not raise pre-flop, decide: raise 2x Ante (placing 2x Ante as the Play bet) or check again.
4. The turn and river are dealt face-up, completing the five-card community board. If you have not yet raised, you must now: raise 1x Ante (placing 1x Ante as the Play bet) or fold. Folding forfeits both Ante and Blind bets.
5. The dealer reveals their hole cards. The dealer qualifies with a pair or better. A non-qualifying dealer pushes the Ante and Blind bets (Play bet still competes against the dealer hand).
6. Hands are compared using standard Texas Hold'em rankings. Player wins: Ante pays 1:1 (pushes if dealer does not qualify), Play bet pays 1:1. Blind bet pays according to its progressive table: Straight 1:1, Flush 3:2, Full House 3:1, Four of a Kind 10:1, Straight Flush 50:1, Royal Flush 500:1. The Trips side bet pays independently: Three of a Kind 3:1, Straight 4:1, Flush 7:1, Full House 8:1, Four of a Kind 30:1, Straight Flush 40:1, Royal Flush 50:1. Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main Total Texas Hold'em payouts.

Optimal Strategy & Analysis

Total Texas Hold'em strategy is the most complex among the poker variants due to the three-stage betting decision. Pre-flop 4x raise strategy is based on starting hand strength alone: raise 4x with any pair except deuces, any hand with an Ace, any K-5 or better, any Q-8 or better, any J-T suited. These thresholds are derived from simulation of all possible board completions and dealer hand outcomes. Raising 4x too liberally (e.g., raising all unsuited J-T hands) or too conservatively (e.g., not raising Ax) meaningfully increases the effective house edge.

Post-flop 2x raise strategy considers board texture and the player's five-card made hand: raise 2x with two pair or better; raise with hidden pair (pocket pair not on board) if the board has no pair higher than the pocket pair; raise with four to a flush (four suited cards in hole plus board). River raise (1x) strategy: raise with any made hand (pair or better on the five-card board using hole cards); fold with no pair and no realistic best hand. Folding on the river when holding any pair is a significant mistake, as the 1x raise cost is recovered by the Ante push against a qualifying dealer more often than implied.

The Blind bet's progressive payout structure (Straight 1:1, Flush 3:2, Full House 3:1, Four of a Kind 10:1, Straight Flush 50:1, Royal Flush 500:1) creates positive contribution to overall game EV for strong hands. However, the Blind pays only when the player wins against the dealer - a push on the Ante means the Blind is also evaluated. The Trips side bet pays independently of dealer qualification or player hand comparison, making it an isolated independent wager. Trips house edge is typically 1.9-3.5% depending on pay table.

Session bankroll requirements are higher than other table games due to the mandatory Ante+Blind structure - every hand commits 2x base stake before cards are dealt. A session bankroll of 100 Ante units (200 base stake units) provides appropriate variance coverage.

Provably Fair Verification

Total Texas Hold'em hand generation follows the same SHA-256 Fisher-Yates architecture as other WickedBet originals. A 52-card deck is shuffled using the server seed, client seed, and hand nonce. Card deal order: player hole cards 1-2, dealer hole cards 1-2, flop 1-3, turn, river - nine cards total. All nine cards are cryptographically determined before any decision stage is reached. The server seed is committed as its hash at session start and revealed upon client seed rotation.

The Trips side bet outcome is determined by the player's hole cards (positions 1-2) and the five community cards (positions 5-9 in the deal sequence). No additional randomness is introduced for Trips - it derives from the same nine-card sequence. Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main Total Texas Hold'em payouts.

For complete hand verification: retrieve post-session server seed, session client seed, and hand nonce from the fairness panel. Generate the shuffled deck by applying Fisher-Yates with SHA-256 to the concatenated seed string. Cards at positions 0-1 are player hole cards, 2-3 are dealer hole cards, 4-6 are flop, 7 is turn, 8 is river. Construct the best five-card hand for each player from their two hole cards plus community cards (positions 4-8) to verify both main game and Trips outcomes.

Millionaire Mode Technical Details

Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet added to every round. Main-table payouts are NOT reduced. Main bets must total at least $1 USD for the side bet to attach.

Each round, the cards dealt for the side bet are checked. The Royal Spades are the six top spades - 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of spades. Every distinct Royal Spade among the dealt cards counts as one hit; a repeated rank does not count twice and the Joker never counts.

Paytable per $1 side bet: 6 hits = $1,000,000; 5 hits = $5,000; 4 hits = $325; 3 hits = $20; 2 hits = $2; 0 or 1 hits pay nothing.

The $1,000,000 prize is pre-funded and paid in a single transaction on six hits. Lower tiers pay alongside the round settlement. The Royal Spades result is independent of the main-game outcome.
