Game Mechanics & Rules

Millionaire Roulette runs on a European single-zero wheel, 37 pockets numbered 0 to 36. Each spin resolves against a SHA-256 provably fair integer in [0, 36]. Millionaire Mode adds a fixed $1 Royal Spades side bet that evaluates six independent strips for a separate jackpot, without changing the main wheel payouts.

  1. Pick a chip value. Place chips on inside bets (straight, split, street, corner, six-line), outside bets (red/black, odd/even, dozens, columns, high/low), or racetrack bets (voisins, tiers, orphelins, jeu 0). Press R to toggle the racetrack view.
  2. Payouts: straight 35:1, split 17:1, street 11:1, corner 8:1, six-line 5:1, dozen and column 2:1, red/black/odd/even/high/low 1:1. Racetrack macros settle chip-by-chip at the underlying inside-bet multipliers.
  3. If Millionaire Mode is on, a $1 fee is added to your total stake for that spin. Main bets must total at least $1 USD.
  4. Press Spin (or Space). The server reveals the winning pocket, settles every placed bet against the SHA-256 result, and credits wins back to your balance.
  5. When Millionaire Mode is on, the server also evaluates six 16-number strips using the same provably fair seed pair. The number of matching hits pays out against the Royal Spades paytable. Six hits wins $1,000,000.
  6. History broadcasts to your account over ActionCable as each spin finishes, so the table updates in real time without a page refresh.

Controls and Settings

Roulette uses the shared Millionaire settings panel plus Roulette-specific keyboard shortcuts. Settings persist per-browser and per-currency via localStorage.

Settings

  • Sound toggles win/loss sound effects.
  • Effects toggles particle celebration on wins and loss shake.
  • Voices plays character voice-pack lines on wins above the currency threshold.
  • Voice Pack picks the character pack that delivers the win line. The dropdown is loaded live from the server and includes a mix of character voices (for example The Sheriff and Mafia Boss) alongside Off and Random. Open the in-game selector for the current list.
  • Instant Bet skips the wheel animation, resolving outcomes immediately.
  • Speed Slow / Normal / Fast animation timing. Applies to auto mode delay between spins.
  • Show Tips toggles the on-hover tutorial tooltips over table cells.

Manual and Auto Modes

Roulette supports Manual and Auto modes. Auto repeats the current bet layout for a fixed spin count.

Manual

Place chips, press Spin (or Space), review the result. Bets persist on the table between spins unless cleared with Esc.

Auto

Enter Auto mode via the Manual/Auto toggle in the control panel. Set the number of spins, confirm your bets are placed, press Start Autobet. Each subsequent spin replays the saved bet layout at the selected speed.

Stop conditions:

  • Completion of the configured spin count.
  • Manual Stop via the Stop Autobet button or the spin button switching to Stop.
  • Any spin that fails server-side (for example, insufficient balance or a network error). Auto halts immediately.

Replay and Shared Replay

Your own replays

Each spin joins your history as soon as it settles, with no page refresh needed. Click any row to reload the round: the wheel spins to the original pocket, your chips return to the table, and the payout breakdown replays step by step.

Shared replays

Each round has its own shareable link. Use the share button on any history row to copy the URL. Anyone with the link can watch the round, including the Millionaire Mode strips, without logging in.

What gets reproduced

A replay reproduces the spin from its original provably fair proof, so the wheel lands on the same pocket and the Royal Spades strips show the same hits. Chip placements, win amounts, and side-bet outcomes all match the original round. Balances are not re-applied, so watching or sharing a replay costs nothing.

Optimal Strategy & Analysis

Straight, split, corner, dozen, column, and even-money bets all have identical expected value per unit wagered. The only strategic lever is variance: straight bets have standard deviation near 5.84 per unit; red/black near 1.00 per unit. A 100-spin session on straight plays carries session-stdev close to 58; the same session on even-money runs near 10.

Racetrack macros are composites of inside bets. Voisins du Zéro stakes 9 chips (17 numbers covered, ~45.9% hit rate for at least one winning chip). Tiers stakes 6 chips (12 numbers, ~32.4%). Orphelins stakes 5 chips (8 numbers, ~21.6%). Jeu Zéro stakes 4 chips (7 numbers, ~18.9%).

No progression changes expected value. Martingale, Labouchère, and D'Alembert all redistribute variance across sessions rather than reducing the edge. Flat staking against a pre-set session budget is the statistically honest approach.

Millionaire Mode is a separate decision from main-table strategy. The $1 Royal Spades side bet resolves independently of the wheel result, so covering zero has no jackpot bearing (unlike older Golden-Spin formats).

Provably Fair Verification

The winning pocket is computed as SHA-256(server_seed + ':' + client_seed + ':' + nonce), hex-to-integer, modulo 37. The distribution across pockets 0-36 is uniform. Server seeds are committed by their SHA-256 hash before the session opens; the commitment cannot change while the session runs.

Reveal the server seed by rotating your client seed. Any past spin can be reproduced by recomputing the hash, mod 37, against the revealed seed and the recorded nonce. Standard SHA-256 is enough; no custom tooling is required.

Millionaire Mode strips use the same seed/nonce pair with a per-strip index mixed into the hash input, so the six strip values are deterministic from the same commitment. The strip-hit count drives the Royal Spades paytable.

Millionaire Mode Technical Details

Millionaire Mode adds a fixed $1 Royal Spades side bet to every spin. Main-table payouts are not reduced. Main bets must total at least $1 USD to place a Royal Spades bet alongside them.

The side bet evaluates six independent 16-number strips using the provably fair seed pair (with per-strip index). Each strip has one winning number; the more strips that land on it, the higher the tier.

Paytable per $1 side bet: 6 hits = $1,000,000; 5 hits = $30,000; 4 hits = $800; 3 hits = $30; 2 hits = $3; 1 hit = $1 push; 0 hits lose the $1 fee.

The $1,000,000 jackpot is pre-funded and paid in a single transaction when 6 hits resolve. Lower-tier prizes are paid on the same settlement as the main bets. The jackpot does not accumulate between spins; it is always the same headline figure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What side bets does Millionaire Roulette offer and what are their payouts?

Four side bets are available: Snake Bet, Zero Zone, Final Digit, Number Echo. Each is an independent wager placed before the round and settles on its own outcome, regardless of the main result.

What is Millionaire Roulette and how does it work?

Millionaire Roulette is a European single-zero roulette implementation (37 pockets, 0-36) with a SHA-256 provably fair pocket selection. Main-table bets cover inside, outside, and racetrack groups. Millionaire Mode is a separate $1 Royal Spades side bet evaluating six 16-number strips per spin; main-table payouts are unchanged when the mode is on.

How do racetrack bets work in Millionaire Roulette?

Roulette supports four racetrack macros placed via the announced-bet panel (press R): Voisins du Zéro (9 chips covering 17 numbers), Tiers du Cylindre (6 splits covering 12 numbers), Orphelins (5 chips covering 8 numbers), and Jeu Zéro (4 chips covering 7 numbers). Each macro places the individual inside bets automatically and settles chip-by-chip at the underlying multipliers.

How does Millionaire Mode function in Millionaire Roulette?

Enabling Millionaire Mode adds a $1 Royal Spades side bet to every spin in parallel with your main bets. The side bet derives six independent 16-number strips from the spin's provably fair seed pair with per-strip salts. The hit count across strips drives the paytable: 6 hits pays $1,000,000, 5 pays $30,000, 4 pays $800, 3 pays $30, 2 pays $3, 1 returns the fee, 0 loses it.

Which keyboard shortcuts does Millionaire Roulette support?

Space spins when at least one bet is placed; Esc clears all bets; U undoes the last chip; R toggles the racetrack panel; digits 1-8 select chip denomination by index; Q halves and E doubles the chip value; M mutes sound; I toggles Instant Bet; comma/period/slash set animation speed to Slow/Normal/Fast.

How does auto-bet work in Millionaire Roulette and which stop conditions are supported?

Auto mode repeats the current bet layout for a chosen spin count (default 10). Stop conditions: spin count reached, manual Stop (button or hotkey), or any server-side error (insufficient balance, network failure). Auto does not support per-win or per-loss thresholds; use Manual if you need that.

How do normal and shared replays work in Millionaire Roulette?

Completed spins broadcast to your account via ActionCable as they settle and appear in the history table in real time. Click a row to replay the spin using the stored seeds. Each round has a short_uuid; the share button copies a public /replay/roulette/{short_uuid} URL that reproduces the exact wheel result and Royal Spades strips for viewers without a login.

How can I verify Millionaire Roulette is provably fair?

Each spin's pocket is SHA-256(server_seed + ':' + client_seed + ':' + nonce) hex-to-integer mod 37. Server seeds are committed by hash before the session opens. Rotate your client seed to close the session and reveal the server seed, then recompute any spin against the revealed seed, client seed, and nonce. Millionaire Mode strips use the same seed pair with per-strip salts.
