Millionaire Pontoon
Game Mechanics & Rules
Millionaire Pontoon is a British blackjack variant implementing standard Pontoon rules on a SHA-256 provably fair deck. Both dealer cards are face-down throughout the hand. A Pontoon (Ace + 10-value card) is the highest-ranking hand and pays 2:1. A Five Card Trick (five cards totalling 21 or under) is second-highest and also pays 2:1. All other winning hands pay 1:1. Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main Pontoon payouts.
- Place your bet. You are dealt two cards face-up; both dealer cards are face-down. You cannot see either dealer card at any point during your decision phase.
- Evaluate your hand. A Pontoon (Ace + 10-value card on initial deal) is an automatic 2:1 win unless the dealer also has Pontoon - a push. You must always Hit if your total is 14 or under. At 15 or more you may choose to Stick (stand) or to Twist (hit) again - standing is your option, not a requirement.
- Hit: take an additional card. You may take as many cards as needed provided you do not exceed 21. If you reach five cards without busting, you have a Five Card Trick - an automatic winning hand that pays 2:1.
- Buy: double your bet and receive exactly one more card (equivalent to Double in blackjack). Buying is permitted only before drawing any non-bought cards. You may Buy again after the first Buy with certain hands.
- Split: if your first two cards are a pair, you may split into two separate hands, each continuing independently.
- The dealer then reveals both cards and draws to 17. The dealer must twist (hit) on all 16s and below. Dealer Pontoon beats all player hands except another Pontoon. A Pontoon hand always pays the published 2:1 rate.

Optimal Strategy & Analysis
Pontoon strategy differs substantially from blackjack due to the face-down dealer cards and mandatory hitting rules. The forced hit on 14-or-under eliminates many standing decisions present in blackjack. The Five Card Trick (FCT) incentive changes drawing strategy significantly: a player holding 4 cards at 14 should always draw for the FCT rather than stand, even against a strong dealer hand, because the FCT beats all dealer hands except Pontoon at 2:1.
Buying (doubling) strategy in Pontoon: the optimal Buy threshold is any two-card total of 9-11 against an unknown dealer. Without dealer upcard information, Buy decisions are made against the dealer's distribution across all possible two-card holdings.
Splitting strategy: Aces should always be split. Pairs of 5s should never be split (treat as 10 and Buy). Pairs of 10-value cards should never be split - a 20-total is strong and the FCT path from a 10-value pair is weaker than holding. All other pairs generally benefit from splitting but should be assessed against the increased variance of unknown dealer holdings.
Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main Pontoon payouts. The check uses the first six cards from the shuffled shoe and scores them against the six high spades 9♠ through A♠.
Provably Fair Verification
Each Millionaire Pontoon hand generates its deck from SHA-256(server_seed + ':' + client_seed + ':' + nonce) applied to a Fisher-Yates shuffle of 52 cards. Card dealing proceeds sequentially: player card 1, dealer card 1, player card 2, dealer card 2. Both dealer cards are drawn from the same pre-shuffled deck and are cryptographically determined before any player action. Subsequent hits, buys, and splits consume cards in order from the pre-determined deck sequence.
Because the dealer's cards are face-down, players cannot observe them during play - but the provably fair system guarantees they are determined before the hand begins. After rotating the client seed (ending the session), the full server seed is revealed. Players can reconstruct the exact deck and verify both the player cards seen during play and the dealer cards that were face-down, confirming neither was changed based on player actions.

Millionaire Mode Technical Details
Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet added to every round. Main-table payouts are NOT reduced. Main bets must total at least $1 USD for the side bet to attach.
Each round, the cards dealt for the side bet are checked. The Royal Spades are the six top spades - 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of spades. Every distinct Royal Spade among the dealt cards counts as one hit; a repeated rank does not count twice and the Joker never counts.
Paytable per $1 side bet: 6 hits = $1,000,000; 5 hits = $7,250; 4 hits = $350; 3 hits = $25; 2 hits = $2; 0 or 1 hits pay nothing.
The $1,000,000 prize is pre-funded and paid in a single transaction on six hits. Lower tiers pay alongside the round settlement. The Royal Spades result is independent of the main-game outcome.

What side bets does Millionaire Pontoon offer and what are their payouts?
Thirteen side bets are available: Three Card Combo, Pairs Up, Connector, Dealer Connector, Lady Twenty, Break The Dealer, Total Twenty, Court Match, Dealer Mirror, Seven Streak, Big 13, Little 13, Pontoon Premier. Each is an independent wager placed before the round and settles on its own outcome, regardless of the main result.
What is Millionaire Pontoon and how does it work?
Millionaire Pontoon is a provably fair British blackjack variant where both dealer cards are face-down. Pontoon (Ace + 10-value) pays 2:1 and ranks highest; Five Card Trick (five cards ≤ 21) also pays 2:1 and ranks second. All other wins pay 1:1. Players must hit on 14 or under. Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main Pontoon payouts.
How does Millionaire Mode function in Millionaire Pontoon?
Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet per round. Main-table payouts are NOT reduced. Each round the dealt cards are checked; every distinct Royal Spade - 9, 10, J, Q, K, A of spades - is one hit (the Joker never counts). Paytable: 6 hits = $1,000,000, 5 = $7,250, 4 = $350, 3 = $25, 2 = $2, 0-1 = no payout. The jackpot is pre-funded.
How can I verify Millionaire Pontoon is provably fair?
The full 52-card deck is pre-shuffled by SHA-256 Fisher-Yates before any card is dealt, including both dealer face-down cards. The server seed commitment locks both player and dealer cards in advance. Rotate client seed post-session to reveal the server seed. Reconstruct the complete deck and verify every card - including the dealer's hidden cards - against the recorded hand. Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main Pontoon payouts.
Which cryptocurrencies are accepted for Millionaire Pontoon?
BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT (ERC-20/TRC-20) and BNB are all supported. Deposits credit your account in USD; every stake, payout and jackpot in Millionaire Pontoon is denominated in USD regardless of which crypto you sent. Withdrawals return on-chain to a wallet address you nominate at cash-out time, subject to standard network confirmation.
What is the mathematically optimal strategy for Millionaire Pontoon?
Optimal Pontoon strategy: always hit on 14 or under (mandatory); pursue Five Card Trick when at 4 cards safely below 21; Buy on two-card totals of 9-11 regardless of hand; split Aces always, never split 10-value pairs or 5s; stand on 15+ with two or more cards unless Four Card Trick path is accessible. The face-down dealer hand means strategy is independent of dealer upcard, focusing entirely on maximising player hand value and Five Card Trick opportunities.
